It’s right on par with Moleskine, but if you like a smoother bristol-like feel, then you’ll want the Blackwing or Rhodia journals. On all other pens and pencils, the paper is fine, but not the smoothest. You’ll get some bleed through if you tend to use the Sharpie for coloring boxes or lines. Supposedly the paper is ink proof, but we found that it won’t stand up to Sharpie markers very well. The last eight pages are perforated for easy removal and all pages are numbered at the lower right/left corners. The 1917 includes cover and binding stickers for archival purposes, and like most of the journals here, a pocket in the back. The Leuchtturm 1917 Dot Grid Journal is 5.75 x 8.5 inches, marginally larger than the other notebooks in the list, but it’s really of no consequence.
